It’s been a while, so time for another update! As of this weekend, I’ve written 128,000 words in 82 chapters and am hoping to publish by the end of September. The sixth installment in the Joseph Michael Barber thriller series now has a working title of “Sins of the Father, a tale of redemption.” We reach back to D-Day and the weeks following to define two of the main characters, the grandsons of a Wehrmacht and a Waffen SS officer, in the prologue and two chapters titled “A Tale of Two Nazis, Parts 1 and 2.” The idea came to me during a moving one-week private tour of the Normandy beaches in June.
