About Dennis Tosh

Dennis Tosh recently retired from an almost 42-year career in Finance and Treasury with Ford Motor Company.  At Ford he was globally responsible for financial risk management, cash investments, derivatives, foreign exchange, debt capital markets and credit line bank relationships.  His job gave him a front row seat to the Great Financial Crisis, and he was one of the key senior leaders in Treasury that helped his company navigate the global turmoil.  He has been a frequent speaker and host at finance and risk management conferences around the world, including New York City, Miami, Dallas, Toronto, Geneva, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, Singapore and other.  He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan (with distinction) and an M.B.A. from Michigan's Ross School of Business.

Dennis has been an avid reader of history, biography, and military fiction/thrillers his entire life. Crafting a story of his own has been a life-long dream. He began writing his first novel, “The Orion Affair”, in January of 2015 and completed it in January of 2019. He wrote his second novel, “Command and Control”, in about five months, publishing it in January of 2020. Some of his favorite authors of fiction include, in no particular order, the late Robert Ludlum, the late Tom Clancy, the late Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Jack Caar, David Baldacci, Daniel Silva, Ben Coes, Mark Greaney, Greg Hurwitz, Lee Child, Larry Bond, and Andrew Peterson. Along with writing, he has recently taken up golf (it’s a great cure for hypotension!), is a neophyte oenophile, and an avid fitness enthusiast. He enjoys the hot Virginia Summers cruising with the top down in his 50th Anniversary Edition yellow Mustang GT convertible (and yes, it’s a six-speed MANUAL transmission!).

He is married and the proud father of three sons and four beautiful grandchildren, Alexa Mae, Will, Bowen, and Cora.  He resides in Spotsylvania, Virginia, nestled among much rich American history.  The sixth book in the Joseph Michael Barber Series is targeted for publication in Fall, 2024.
